About The 6th ICMV 2013, London, uk

 

 

2013 The 6th International Conference on Machine Vision (ICMV 2013) was held in London, UK successfully from November 16 to 17, 2013 at Hotel Novotel London City South. The ICMV 2013 was organized to gather members of our international community of scientists so that researchers from around the world could present their cutting-edge work: expanding our community’s knowledge and insight into the significant challenges currently being addressed in that research. The conference Program Committee was itself quite diverse and truly international with membership from the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania.

This year, the conference got 148 submissions. After two rounds of double blind reviewing process, only 88 papers were accepted and published in SPIE conference proceedings in vol. 9067. Acceptance rate 59.46%. And more than 83 experts. professors, etc attended the conference and shared the latest researches in Machine Vision.

The conference chair Prof. Branislav Vuksanovic delivered the opening remarks. Then Prof. Enrique Nava from University of Malaga, Spain delivered plenary speech “Medical Diagnosis using Computer Vision Techniques”, Prof. Antanas Verikas from Halmstad University, Sweden delivered plenary speech “Robust active contour models (ACM) for object detection”, and Prof. Branislav Vuksanovic deliver plenary speech “PCA, SVD, ICA – Making Sense of Your Multidimensional Data”.

One best presentation was selected from each session by  evaluated by: Originality; Applicability; Technical Merit; PPT; English. The best one was announced and
awarded the certificate at the end of each session.
